LocalAway is the fashion ecosystem that connects the world to your neighborhood

Influencers are GenZ’s new search engine, and LocalAway is leaning into local search to solve location and situational-based dressing queries, as a first-of-its-kind digital social shopping platform that utilizes cutting-edge video technology and a worldwide network of influencers. Sitting at the intersection of fashion technology and the creator community, the two work hand in hand to curate an assortment of shoppable livestreams with styles from brands that cater to the users’ tastes, local situations (such as going out and special events) and vibe/fashion tribe with similar styles and diverse body types.

LocalAway just closed an undisclosed pre-seed round from investors such as Graham & Walker, First Row Partners, Crosscut VC, Singularity, and more - and are now part of the select group in Techstars Anywhere Accelerator, as they gear up to launch their app this fall.

Given that the creator economy is booming (see ref here and ref here) and other social platforms are trying to capitalize on various LIVE technologies (see Meta Super here), we are confident that LocalAway is the right company at the right time. Our novel approach empowers these GenZ and Millennial influencers (dubbed Styletrotters), to be their own business owners. They give their take on the product in a mix of videos, images and shopping pages and we give them the tools to monetize this content by providing access to a global audience, matching them with brands who match their local aesthetic, and to earn commission-based and project-based revenue: allowing them to sell our brands and their own gently used items in their shops and LIVE events.
